Synopsis

He is smart. This is Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer, who solves crimes by day and commits crimes by night. In the eighth season, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son, David Zayas Jr., replaces his father in some of the walls, as they are very similar.

Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in the second season, the scar moved to the right side, leaving the left side unmarked. Dexter Morgan: I lived in the dark for a long time. Over the years my eyes adjusted until darkness became my world and I could not see.

In the field of cinematography and screenwriting, it is desirable to limit the narration of characters, allowing actions, conversations and scenes to speak for themselves. However, if there is an exception, and it is called Dexter! From the very beginning, I was fascinated by the character of Dexter – a dark and closed man. The strength of the character development was evident, supported by an impeccable cast and an exciting, crime-filled plot.

Seasons 1 and 2 performed exceptionally well, receiving a commendable 9/10

However, subsequently, the quality of the show began to decline. The introduction of new characters and excessive drama burdened the once classic series. Despite my love for this character, I felt a gradual decline in his charm, including Debra’s. The script and direction were solid, but Dexter himself remained the centerpiece as his depiction of dark humor remained the standout aspect.

However, I must emphasize that the first two seasons cannot be missed

His narration throughout the episodes provided a unique perspective through which we learned how he perceived things, people and crimes; it was absolutely fascinating. I recommend this series, but ask viewers to approach it at their own pace and choose the number of seasons to watch.
